Meet Our Dentists
Pediatric dentists play a crucial role in ensuring the oral health and well-being of children from infancy through adolescence. Through regular check-ups, educational efforts, and personalized care, pediatric dentists contribute significantly to instilling lifelong oral hygiene habits and promoting a lifetime of dental health for their young patients.

Dr. Erin Wilson
Dr. Erin Wilson is a Pediatric Dentist originally from Greenville, NC and raised in Arkansas. She graduated from The University of Arkansas. Upon finishing undergrad, she attended Midwestern University – CDMA where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine. She then went on to complete her residency at NYU Langone in Tucson, Arizona.
Dr. Wilson is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, and The American Association Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Wilson currently Resides in Aberdeen, NC with her husband, Eli, and her 5 sons James, Michael, Benjamin, Henry, and Oliver. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, reading, and crochet.
We asked Dr. Wilson what she liked most about Dentistry, “I enjoy making sure my patients (and their parents!) leave the office with a smile!”

Dr. Joye Warr
My educational journey started at Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Subsequently, I pursued my Doctoral of Dental Medicine at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. Continuing my specialization, I delved into Pediatric Dentistry at Howard University School of Dental Medicine in Washington, DC, graduating with a certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. In 1991, I began practicing in Detroit, MI, simultaneously serving as a faculty member at the University of Detroit School of Dentistry, where I taught Pediatric Dentistry.
As a dedicated professional, I am affiliated with esteemed organizations such as the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the High Point and Randolph County Dental Society.
Beyond dentistry, I find joy in sports, reading, travel, and the pursuit of knowledge. Family is a cornerstone of my life, and I cherish moments spent with my five children and six grandchildren. Actively engaged with my church, I am committed to sharing compassion that truly makes a difference.

Dr. Jordan Olsen
Dr. Jordan Olsen, a partner and pediatric dentist at Village Family Dental, was born in Ridgecrest, California and earned his BS degree from Brigham Young University in Utah. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2010. Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Olsen received his MS and Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University of North Carolina School Of Dentistry in 2013.
Dr. Olsen has been an active participant in many community-based activities and is a consistent volunteer in his community. He is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. He joined Village Family Dental in 2013 as a member of the pediatric dentistry team. He became a partner in January 2018.
Dr. Olsen is bilingual. He is fluent in Spanish. In his spare time he enjoys teaching, tennis and camping. He currently resides in Hope Mills, NC with his wife and their children.

Dr. Daniel Ravel
Dr. Daniel Ravel received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1974. He then received a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago in 1979. He completed his pediatric dentistry residency in Fort Meade, Maryland, where he obtained his Pediatric Dentistry Certificate in 1992. He joined the Village Family Dental team in 2011.
Dr. Ravel has held the following professional positions: Pediatric Dentistry Mentor for the Comprehensive Dentistry Residency Program in Fort Hood, Texas and a Pediatric Dentistry Mentor for the Comprehensive Dentistry Residency Program at Fort Bragg, NC. He was also a Dental Officer in the United States Army where he achieved the Order of Military Medical Merit. Dr. Ravel is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and a Fellow for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Ravel has made numerous presentations to medical and dental teaching programs, clinics and organizations in various countries around the world. He currently holds staff privileges at area hospitals, including Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and Highsmith-Rainey Hospital.
In his spare time, Dr. Ravel enjoys photography and traveling the world. He currently resides in the Fayetteville area.

Dr. David Samuelson
Dr. David Samuelson is a native North Carolinian and grew up in Charlotte. He attended Furman University in Greenville, SC and graduated with a BA in Political Science. He then attended the UNC School of Dentistry in Chapel Hill where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2015. During dental school, Dr. Samuelson was active in research, service activities, and student teaching. He completed the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at the Fayetteville Veterans Affairs Medical Center in 2016 and continues to work as a staff dentist and resident mentor in the VA dental service. He is also appointed as an adjunct faculty member at the UNC School of Dentistry where he regularly participates in clinical instruction.
Dr. Samuelson began working at Village in 2015 and has enjoyed caring for the patients at our Dental Health Associates. He is an active member of the Greater Fayetteville Dental Society and also holds memberships in the American Dental Association (ADA), the North Carolina Dental Society (NCDS) and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
He and his wife have three daughters and live in Fayetteville. In their free time, they enjoy traveling to visit family as well as playing and watching all possible sports.

Dr. Dahlia Michael
Dr. Dahlia Michael received her undergraduate education from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, where she obtained a dual BA degree in Biological Sciences and Spanish. She attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey, where she received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree in 2008. Dr. Michael completed her general practice residency program at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey and her pediatric dentistry residency program at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Michael is certified through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), and the American Dental Association (ADA). Dr. Michael is fluent in Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, the shore, photography, and spending time with her loved ones.

Dr. Sarat Mohammadu
Dr. Sarat Mohammadu is a Pediatric Dentist from Smyrna, GA. She received her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a minor in Chemical Engineering from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. She furthered her education with a Master of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Georgetown University while completing her thesis with the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research at the National Institute of Health in Washington, DC. She was featured on the cover of the NIH Record during one of three times presenting her research at NIH Poster Day. Dr. Mohammadu obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University in Washington, DC.
Post-graduation, Dr. Mohammadu began serving underserved populations without medical insurance at a Public Health dental clinic in Silver Spring, MD. She then completed a General Practice Residency, with a predominant focus in Pediatric Dental and Anesthesia rotations at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center in New York. Dr. Mohammadu then completed a 1-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at the Oral Surgical Institute in Nashville.
Prior to joining Village Family Dental, Dr. Mohammadu participated in the academic community as a Clinical Instructor at Meharry Medical College in Nashville. In 2019, she was featured in Meharry’s Donor Honor Roll Catalog, discussing her additional position as a Clinical Instructor and Lead Dentist on Meharry’s Mobile Dental Unit ensuring accessible and affordable dental care to special communities (Juvenile detention centers) throughout the Middle Tennessee area. Dr. Mohammadu completed her Pediatric Dental training at The University of Louisville in Kentucky with an additional Master in Pediatric Dentistry degree. She strongly believes that a part of serving the underserved is broadening the horizons of what it means to treat and help others.
During her leisure time, Dr. Mohammadu practices and enjoys Power Vinyasa yoga, Western horse riding, and traveling.

Dr. Maurissa Lester
Dr. Maurissa Lester is a Pediatric Dentist originally from Fayetteville, NC. She attended Limestone College where she received her Undergraduate Degree in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. She then went on to receive her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed her Pediatric Residency at University of California in 2023. Dr. Lester is a member of The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Lester currently resides in Fayetteville, NC.

Dr. Carey M. Collins
Dr. Carey McNeill Collins received her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. She attended Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS). Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Collins completed her pediatric dental residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and she received her MS in Pediatric Dentistry from The Ohio State University in 2011.
Dr. Collins is board certified and a member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Collins currently resides in Lumberton, NC with her husband and children. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and trips to Holden Beach.
